ROOKIE ROD 177

WANTED
I am looking for someone to mechanic for me at meetings, Currently I have two or three mates that help me out, due to work and family commitments they have not been able to help out much this season. This has left me going to meetings on my own, which makes it very difficult when a lot of work needs to be done. Would also be great to have some help over at my workshop. Anyone with mechanical knowledge would be great but not essential. More important someone who is keen to help and enjoys racing and having a laugh. You would get into meetings free of charge when i'm racing, but you would probably only get to see myself racing as the rest of the time, is spent working on the car. You can contact me on my e-mail address racingmole@talktalk.net

Here you'll learn all about my racing exploits including the ups and the downs. Hopefully we will keep you updated with results throughout the coming season. Plus any other relevant news.

We have constructed this website to promote ourselves and to hopefully gain some publicity for our sponsors. And maybe gain a few more. You will be able to follow us through the season keeping up with all the news. We are currently trying to put a budget together to race a Stock Rod in 2008 and a big sponsor may be on the cards. You will have to watch this space.

WHAT IS A ROOKIE ROD?

The formula that I race is the Spedeworth Rookie Rod. This formula is designed to get spectators off the terraces and on to the track.Only two types of car are currently allowed to race. These are the Ford Fiesta mk1, mk2 and mk3. And the Vauxhall Nova. Fiestas are 1300cc and the Novas 1200cc. Both cars use the Kingpin remould tyre. This is the only tyre allowed. Engine and suspension modifications are kept to a minimum, keeping costs down. For further specifications take a look at the Spedeworth website
